TRACK 2 - MODEH ANI

Modeh Ani is a prayer that can be said before you even leave your bed in the morning. It is said to greet a new day, to thank God for being alive, and for another wonderful day. I wrote this song back in March and first performed it live at Rock Hashanah at Temple Rodeph Torah in October.

I thank you God for the morning I got

The sun is up and I like that a lot

To all my dreams I will see you all tonight

Waking up without my worries or cares

I'm smelling breakfast I am coming downstairs

Open the window I'm bringing in the light, I say....

Another day in this wonderful year

I'm gonna stretch out my legs my feet my hands

Thanks for this gift you are giving to me

A day with friends and my family
